Temecula Valley’s First-Ever Craft Beer Week Begins May 15

The best week of the year is almost here. May 15-21 marks the first annual Craft Beer Week, hosted by the Murrieta Chamber of Commerce. The week-long celebration of Southwest Riverside County’s local breweries, highlighted by the Brew Masters Golf Tournament on Friday the 19th, includes parties, special releases, brewery tours, and discounts at breweries and taprooms throughout the Valley.

Charles Almiron, owner of Backyard Bottleshop and Taproom in Murrieta, has played a major role in  the evolution of the local craft beer industry, managing one of the area’s most popular destinations for exploring beers from around the country.

“This will be our 3rd year sponsoring the Brew Master’s Golf Tournament…We built our business to bring awareness to the local scene and expose our patrons to the broad spectrum of craft beer.”

Backyard Bottleshop is offering a discount on draft beer to those who bring in the Craft Beer Week Passport and promotional ad on Saturday May 20th.

“The Murrieta Craft Beer Week is an awesome way to celebrate the incredible growth of breweries in our valley.” Says Jake Kucera of Refuge Brewery.

One of the more anticipated events during Craft Beer Week, Refuge will be kicking off their Summer Nights series on Saturday, May 20th. Attendees will enjoy food, one-off beers, and live entertainment.

All events can be found in the OpenTap app, available for free on iOS and Android devices.
